Fatal Traffic Accident

No fatal traffic accident was reported over the pass twenty four hours.

Bhunya

Bhunya police on 17/10/2011 at about 1900 hrs arrested and charged a 20 year old man of KaLuhleko for being found in possession of a 9 mm pistol with three live rounds of ammunition without a permit or a licence while at Bhunya village. He will appear before Manzini magistrates’ court today.

Tshaneni

Tshaneni police are investigating a case of poaching whereby on 17/10/2011 at about 2215 hrs farm guards were engaged in a car chase after three occupants who were driving in a Toyota Hilux shot, killed and carried away a grey Durker which is a protected game. The guards tried to stop the vehicle but it did not hid to the call thus a car chase ensured. The suspected vehicle later lost control and overturned along Mabiya/Tshaneni public road trapping the driver while the two other occupants fled the scene. The driver, a 45 year old man of Gomora was rushed to Mkhuzweni Health Centre where he was admitted under critical condition. The police are still looking for the other suspects. A 12 bore single barrel shot gun the carcass of the Durker and a lighting torch were recovered from the scene of accident.

 

Lobamba

Following murder that occurred on the 09/09/2011 whereby a man of Vusweni area was found dead with a gunshot wound at Vusweni area, Lukhozi Serious Crimes Unit together with Lobamba Police arrested and charged a 23 year old man of Vusweni area for murder. He was further charged for being found in possession of a 9 mm pistol loaded with five live rounds of ammunition without a permit or a licence while at Vusweni. He will appear before Mbabane magistrates’ court tomorrow.
